Seasonal Nature Therapy and Mindfulness Walks

Fostering a deliberate connection with Nature, or even just spending regular time outdoors, has proven positive effects on our physical, mental, and spiritual health and well being.

Step into the peace of the natural world with our Nature Therapy & Mindfulness Walks series. Through them we will tap into the seasonal cycles of Nature, while learning to use Mindfulness practices to help you unwind, reconnect, and find both mental clarity and balance. I invite you to slow down, breathe deeply, and savor the restorative power of nature.

This special series is exclusively for women, ages 18 and up, and runs for approximately 3 months, meeting every other week on Saturday mornings on a different and gentle trail within New Haven County. Each walk will take roughly 90 mins total, with stops along the way for guided exercises and mindfulness skills-building. These series will run year-round, enabling participants to experience the gifts of each season, for unique insights and connections. Join one or all! Please call to see if this series may be right for you!

Cost: $450 prepaid, or $80 per hike. Some need-based, reduced rate slots may be available. Participants limited to 10.

FAQs

What about inclement weather?

Walks will take place regardless of the weather or temperature - to a degree. Storms, dangerous heat or cold, and similar natural events will be a cause to reschedule. If the walks cannot be rescheduled for that series, you may chose to apply the cost to a future series or receive a refund.

Can I drop in or just attend some of the hikes?

At this time, in order to hold your spot, you must purchase the entire series, as participation is limited. All dates for the series will be posted in advance.

What level of fitness is appropriate for these hikes?

While these hikes should not be approached as exercise, walking is always healthy. In terms of your personal fitness level, you should be mobile, be comfortable walking on uneven, woodland trails, and be able to do so for 90 mins, at a slowish pace, with some breaks. If you have questions about whether these walks are right for you, please get in touch.

I’m not very outdoorsy - I’ve never been in the woods. Can I still join?

YES!!!!! You are most definitely welcome to join, and we’ll look forward to having you!
